Children's Swimming Lessons

Be safe in the water for life with our swimming lessons for children and young people.

Our Swimming Lessons are taught by qualified Amateur Swimming Association (asa) teachers who follow the asa National Plan for swimming.

All children can start our Swimming Scheme from the age of 5yrs.

Come along to our swimming lessons for children and young people aged 5 years and over in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Our swimming instructors will guide you through stages 1 - 7 of our swimming lesson programme, with regular assessments to make sure you are continually learning and improving.

Once you have successfully mastered the art of swimming and completed your stage 7, you can learn some of the specialist disciplines including:

• Mini Water Polo- learn specialist skills for life
• Rookie Lifesaver Courses - for budding young lifesavers
• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualifications - become a pool lifeguard (only available at Hillsborough Leisure Centre and for under 16's)
• Pre-Competition Swimming & Diving Coaching Courses (only available at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre)
