1. When you were a child, what did you dream of being when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a fire fighter. That was my main goal.

2. Can you remember any advice your school careers adviser gave you?
Not really no, but I have a very loyal martial arts instructor who guided me as well as my family.

3. How important was your education if getting you where you are now?
Education was highly important. When I realised I couldn’t be a fire fighter I changed my approach and enrolled on a sports course at college and learned that I had a lot to offer in the health and fitness industry.

4. What was your first proper job?
I was a warehouse supervisor at Morrisons. The job involved ensuring that the stock ordered was correct upon delivery and I had to unload wagons ready for distribution.

5. Did you have a Saturday or part time job - and what was it?
I worked at CarpetRight! I worked weekends in the warehouse, lugging carpets around all day. It was fun actually! Although it made me want to work hard at school and college.

6. Do you think young people have a tougher or easier time in their chosen career these days?
I suppose it depends what career you choose. I think it’s getting tougher all the time in the fitness industry and increasingly competitive but I believe that’s happened as a result of the industry getting the recognition it deserves.

7. If you weren’t where you are now, what would you be doing?
I’d be trying to get where I am now. I have worked extremely hard to achieve what I have so far and I’ll continue to do so.

8. What is your ultimate goal?
To be successful in my career, experience the world through travel and calm down by the time I’m 30.

9. What has been your greatest success?
Achieving my black belt in Tae Kwon Do at a young age, and becoming the youngest at my club to do so. It made me realise what you can achieve with a strong mind.

10. And your most dismal failure?
Good question… I try not to do failure and always take the positives out of any situation.

11. What has been the most rewarding personal experience of your life?
Seeing my partner skydive- she loved every minute. It looked so exciting.

12. Are there any regrets in your life?
No and I hope there never is.

13. Do you have a role model?
Yes Byron Banton, my Tae Kwon Do instructor, and Mohammad Ali. Both men have a strength of mind and character that I admire and I’d love to think I could be thought of in a similar way one day.

14. How do you get away from the stresses of working life?
I try not to take too much on board at once, focus on one thing at a time, and spend quality time with the people that mean a lot to me.

15. Whose opinion do you most value?
My Tae kwon Do instructor Byron Banton’s opinion is very important to me. He has been a huge influence from a very young age and will continue to do so.

16. What was the best piece of advice you ever received?
To stay out of trouble!

17. What would be the best piece of advice you could give?
Be involved in a social network, somthing that makes your pulse rise through enjoyment.

18. Retirement - when will it be and what will you do?
Too far away yet, I’ve only just begun. I’d like to look back knowing I have changed something. When somebody mentions my name, I hope they will think of the impact that I have had on their life. .

19. How do you think other people see you?
Fun, spontaneous, good communicator and listener and focused.

20. And how do you see yourself?
Lively, very outgoing, always up for a party but disciplined at the right times.
