Football fanatics set for goal-den summer
Young footballers in Sheffield are in for a goal-den summer, thanks to a programme of coaching camps at Concord Sports Centre. The Shiregreen venue will hold daily sessions on its FIFA registered 3G pitch through the six week school holidays from Monday 21 July. Qualified football coaches will deliver progressive football coaching to children between the ages of five and 13 years old.Debbie Colley, children’s activity coordinator at the Sheffield International Venues-managed facility, said: “We are hoping to get both boys and girls into the football camps during the summer and get really stuck into the training and fun we have planned for them. “These camps are a first for the centre and it’s an ideal way to keep the kids active during the summer.” Booking forms are available to download at the website or to collect from the Concord Sports centre, Hillsborough Leisure Centre and Ponds Forge. The camps are available to book on a weekly basis at £35 for the full week. Spaces are still available.
